Overview – Another Way

Another Way is a charity founded by Amy Bray in 2019, when she was 16. We educate and influence those around us, inspiring all to live with kindness towards our planet.

Role headlines

Work for a youth-led ambitious environment education charity using your creativity to help make impact and build a movement. Be part of a dynamic, fun team in a flexible, virtual role.

Our digital marketing manager plays a key role in motivating and growing our network, spreading science-based information, practical suggestions for environment action and updates on our work. You will use your storytelling expertise to create compelling narratives of Another Way’s work, particularly with young people, and empower change.

Your aim is to maximise our impact through our social media channels and digital marketing and help to grow Another Way’s brand nationally.

Your work will be measured by community growth through our channels, conversion rates, engagement levels and feedback from our network.

This position reports to the CEO.

Role details

Social media:

  • Refine and implement an effective, state-of-the-art communications strategy
  • Regularly revisit our strategy for our existing social media platforms
  • Use each of Another Way’s social media platforms to maximise impact and reach
  • Inform our existing community through social media
  • Expand our community through social media
  • Manage paid ad campaigns

Regular posts

  • Create and post regular stories and reels
  • Ensure messaging is consistent with the comms plan and relevant for our target audience
  • Create innovative, science-based content with other members of the Another Way team
  • Ensure that our external face is appealing, current and credible

Monitoring and analytics

  • Monthly monitoring and reporting of social media and communications analytics
  • Implement strategies to improve engagement in response to the results

Graphics and creative:

  • Design graphics, posters and resources for Another Way
  • Edit and market our youth-led Power of 10 podcast
  • Edit and create videos using excellent storytelling for our social media, YouTube and website

Website and PR:

  • Oversee the SEO strategy of our website
  • Implement, measure and improve digital marketing through search engine ads and paid advertising
  • Craft compelling press releases for the media

Candidate requirements

  • Strong personal commitment to the values and objectives of Another Way
  • Demonstrable success managing social media accounts
  • Excellent graphic design skills using software such as Canva and video editing skills
  • Experience in using growth marketing successfully to grow a brand
  • Excellent storytelling skills and passion
  • Knowledge, or willingness to learn, of environmental issues and solutions
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to manage team members
  • Photography experience

About the role

  • 5 days (35 hours) per week, allocated flexibly
  • £32 000
  • Remote working, with opportunities to travel around the UK for events
  • You will be part of a dynamic, committed team making a measurable difference and will have the opportunity to craft a growing movement
  • Experience working within the youth-led, fun and ambitious Another Way team, where we prioritise the wellbeing and development of our employees, and work within a non-hierarchical structure to deliver maximum collective impact
