Our Founder Amy and Power of 10 Senior Ambassador Anna from Edinburgh ran a stall at Matterdale Summer Day last week. Aside from getting a silver medal in the three-legged race, they were hard at work raising awareness about human impacts on our planet, reflecting our Power of 10 themes. From fishing plastic out of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch to finding the camouflaged animal, toddlers and adults alike learned more about the plight of our planet, and made pledges to protect it.
We collected over 30 pledges of change, and lots of votes for our Cumbria Life award finals! It was great to see Anna using the knowledge she has gained from being part of Power of 10 to spread the message, and talking to other teenagers about her experience in the community.
Over the next few months, we will be bringing our new stall to lots of events around the UK to inspire people to take action for our planet, so stay tuned!
